Today was another good day. I made $100.00 at my yard sale.
I totally know I will meet or exceed my $5000.00 goal and have even been thinking of what goal I want to set next. It is said that whenever we begin to experience the power of intention in our lives we want to use it more and more, we set our sites higher and we come up with bigger and better goals. The encouragement I feel from attaining my first goal of getting the perfect tenant increases my confidence that the next one will be fulfilled - and the next one........
So what are my next goals? A successful writing career is one. I want to gain a good, steady income from my writing. That includes sales of my book and whatever other writing jobs I can come up with. Another is to be able to travel around Costa Rica for the next few months, visiting people and enjoying new opportunities.
The ultimate goal - the big one for me - is to be united with my soul mate, the love of my life. Now that would really be a testimonial to the power of intention, possibly the intention of two people at once. Blogging about this would be a big stretch for me. I am pretty private about that kind of thing. I don’t know if I would do it. But it might be fun if I did. I already have a name for it. I’d call it "My Fabulous Love Life"! That would be a true expression of intention because, you see, I have no love life.
When we want something we are told to visualize, think and feel as though we already have it. If we continue to say, “Someday he’ll come along, the man I love...” then we are creating that continual someday in the future, not in the now. So I guess I’ll just have to make it up as I go along and lie to you guys. Not! You’d never believe me any way. I don’t know how to write anything but the truth. That’s why I haven’t tried writing fiction.
Well, the ultimate goal has a few others in line ahead of it so I don’t have to worry about that now. But it’s fun to imagine..... What would My Fabulous Love Life be like? Would interesting things start happening the day I began the blog? And would I even be able to tell about them in my G-Rated internet world? (NO, I will not change the rating. If you’ve read my book you know my view - porn doesn’t pay.)
Enough of this nonsense! Back to more practical matters. Running Total: $4131.92 to go.

Hey, another idea, which you may or may not have used before. A gratitude list. I think we all do this sometimes in one way or another, but putting it on paper -- or the screen, as the case may be -- I thinks helps a lot. It does me anyway.
ReplyDeleteYou just make a running list of all the things you're grateful for -- all the things you DO have. They can be as simple as, "I'm grateful I woke up this morning. I'm grateful I can walk. I'm grateful I have a blog. I'm grateful I have a gratitude list." Etc. You keep going, very stream of consciousness, until you're done for that morning. You can repeat yourself -- there are no rules.
Whether or not I'm a big believer in the power of intention/attraction, I do think it sends out a message to the universe (and yourself!) that you are whole, complete, already taken care of. Not lacking.
This dawned on me when I saw your "Running Total" today. At first I thought, Wow, she already has $4,131.92! Then I realized that's how much you had to go. Then I thought, Wow, she already has $868.08! It's subtle, but maybe you can list what you already have instead of or in addition to your goal -- while keeping the goal in mind of course? Just a thought.
Thanks for the updates!
Thanks for the ideas. You have a good point about the way I have the total money listed. I should state what I have, not what I don't have. I will change it later. Got to go back to the yard sale.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hanging with me here.
